All charges will be waived against those employers who file partial unemployment compensation claims on behalf of their employees. These charges will be waived until further notice. The Small Business Administration has approved Gov. Kay Ivey’s disaster application for all of Alabama’s counties. Small businesses throughout the state are now eligible to apply for, and receive, economic injury disaster loans of up to $2 million. All of Alabama’s 51 Career Centers are closed to the public in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Alabamians in need of Career Center services will still be able to receive them via telephone calls with their local staff, or through email correspondence. You can also continue to access online resources through AlabamaWorks Workforce System. We encourage you to visit AlabamaWorks Workforce System as many Alabama companies are still hiring, and announcing new hiring, even in the midst of the current crisis.
